Window Light Portrait-Digital

Find a big window or sliding door at home or another location. Get yourself a peice of White cardboard, mount board or foamcore (about 16x20 or larger). Find an appropriate background.

Do NOT have direct sunlight fall on subject!!!

Must be "indirect" light. If your window faces East, shoot in afternoon. If it faces West, shoot in morning. North, anytime of day. South, do not shoot unless it is an overcast day.

Use tripod or some sort of camera brace.

Use appropriate backgrounds. Shallow depth of field. Use correct "key" (white clothing-light background=High Key. Dark clothing-dark background=Low Key. Do not mix.
