This assignment is to familiarize you with online galleries and uploading images.

You need to set up a free account with

deviantart.com

Pick your best images. You may also upload any non snapshot type images to this site.

You must:

put your name and copyright and year accross the image.

images should be 4x6 @ 72 dpi JPEG

you cannot use any other gallery, Facebook or myspace.

We will review the websites in class on Friday.

Must be a legitimate product. Outdoor. Total shade or after sunset. Watch your white balance, backgrounds, use reflector. No fill flash. Make sure you product is new, or at least in perfect cond.

Telephoto lens' are used to:

1: Bring subject closer to viewer.

2: Separate subject from background (shallow depth of field).

3: To compress subjects to either show congestion or correct distortion on a subject.

Stock photography is everywhere. Magazines, TV, many advertisers will choose a stock image from a stock house or web site, purchase the rights to use it, instead of hiring a photographer to shoot one image. Make your images Generic and non desrcript. PSD 150 dpi 5x7.

Social Change Slide Show

Pick a subject/news story that you are passionate about and do a photo essay on the subject, include, the likes of, repetitive, shooting thru, close ups, wide shots, normal shots.  Use the composition that you have learned. Make a slide show using Pro Show Producer. Make images JPEG, 150dpi 5x7.
