Restoration

Photo Restoration:  You will need, during Thanksgiving break, to find an old photo of someone in your family.  The older the better. Poor condition is best. Black and White. If your parents don't have any,  check with your Grandparents, uncles, aunts or whatever.  You will need to bring these back to school when we return after the break. I would like the stories that go with the photos also. You will have 2 images in one file...one Before and After image. Finished image size is

8x10 @ 240 dpi. PSD, metadata.

Rock Formations...that resemble people/animals

This will require a bit of thought .  Find Rock Formations that resemble people or animals. 

Dont put this one off.  This example is of Three Sisters Peaks.

Reflection

Image must show a reflection.

Texture

Texture. Show, using cross lighting  (let light just skim over the surface of subject). Use contrasting things in image to show softness and rough (skin vs tree bark, etc.)

Selective Color

Create a new image. It must have commercial value (salable).

Using multi layers either removing the Black and White layer with eraser, or, airbrushing the area with color.

You can also take the Black and White layer and change the color from the original (see motorcycle image) color. Note how the motorcycle has a amber colored headlight. Which was not the case.

Dont forget Meta Data.

Veterans Day - Slide Show

Veterans Day is Nov 11th.

You will need to photograph this on Veterans Day!!! 

There are many Veterans Day festivities around the area.

Check your newspaper, internet, Television or call the local Chamber of Commerce or Veterans organization, to find out locations and times.

I know there is a Veterans Day parade in Folsom. Mt Vernon mortuary on Greenback Lane has a special presentation (call for times). The VietNam Memorial also has something going on in the morning.

This is a slide show. I am looking for at least 20 images. Close ups, extreme close ups, wide shots. Put special emphasis on tight detail shots and the veterans themselves.

Music: something appropriate (patriotic theme). 

Flowing Water

Must shoot late in day. No sun. Low light. Set your ISO to lowest avail on your camera.

USE TRIPOD!!!. Background must be totally sharp, water must show movement and look like cotton candy.

Rain

Rain. Self explanitory. Must show rain and cold.
