Years End

Well guys,

     Its just about over. You have finished your assignments, finished the first leg of your final. Most of you have submitted your My Publisher Book.  Some of you have finished your slide show and got your portfolio together. Well done. Here is the remaining schedule for the rest of the year.

Monday 5-19    Book and Portfolio are due.

                        Tues.      5-20   0-1 period Slide Show Presentations

Thurs.    5-22   2-3 period Slide Show Presentations

Fri.         5-23   Pick up Books and Portfolios (Seniors-prior to graduation practice).

Remember,  If your Book and Portfolios are not finished on the 19th, I will not accept them.  Same with slide show....they are each worth 500 points...dont miss your deadlines.

Overall,  all have done an admirable job this year.  I have shown your "class" slideshow to a few pro photographers and thought you guys were awesome.

Shampoo/Montague

Shampoo: Everyone does the same subject. Im looking for the most creative and different shot.Montague: Double exposure (in computer). Does not need to be same subject, can be, but not required. Make sure backgrounds in both photos are similar (HK-LK). Low Opacity and large brush size are the key.

These are both digital and they are your LAST assignments for the school year. Next week, you start your finals...

2 Assignments...Both Digital

News Story (4 different shots, one subject or theme). Create a news story or magazine story on a single theme. Image size 8.5 x 11 @ 150. B/W or Color.

Loneliness: Make an image that instills the feeling of lonliness. Size 4x6 @ 150.

3 assignments this week...all digital.

First out of the box, Glass. In light tent at studio, cannot do at home. Second Jewelry. In light tent at studio, cannot do at home.....DO NOT BRING ANYTHING VALUABLE FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT. I cannot be responsible for lost items.

Stock Photography Digital

Stock photography is used by magazines, newspapers, Advertising agencys etc. They are generic images that can be used multiple times by several different applications.

1: Make it Generic, watch out for clothing and hairstyles (timeless is best)

2: Unrecognizable locations

3: Simplicity

4: If using people, no writing on clothing.
